13 Days of Self Care – Soak in a Bubble Bath
This is the 13 Days of Self Care. I have been inspired by a wall hanging I have in my home which gives 13 ideas to spoil yourself and value who you are… This is, in essence what Self Care is.
Day 7 of 13 – Soak in a Bubble Bath
Okay, so we don’t all have to look as elegant as this lady when we have a bath. It’s okay to have a bath without candles or a face of make-up, but you get the idea of the relaxation that a nice long soak in a bubble bath can produce.
Having a bath is something I used to do a lot and this is a good reminder for me to start doing it again. I usually pour in a load of epsom salts to help soak away the days stress and tight muscles that can result. There are so many health benefits to soaking in a bath with epsom salts and there are great emotional health benefits of soaking in a bath full of bubbles.
You see, the key here is soaking in a bubble bath. You can’t just have a bath with epsom salts… there will be no bubbles… It will be a bubble-less bath…. boooooorrring! So, always make sure there are plenty of bubbles.
Why?… Because:
Bubbles are fun…
Bubbles smell nice…
Bubbles are soft…
And you can even have a glass of bubbles… AKA champagne and both sets of bubbles just go so well together!
The other great thing about soaking in a bubble bath is closing the bathroom door and having some time to yourself, put some music on if you want to block out excess noise, or take a book in with you to escape reality for a bit. Whatever will make you take the time to have a soak in a bubble bath, go for it.
So you can see how soaking in a bubble bath is good for your emotional and physical health and is a great self care tip.
Make time this week to soak in a bubble bath.
You Are Worth It.
