Values

“Values are the elements in your life that are most important to you and who you want to be in life and work.” – Anna Doecke

Journeez focus is to help people learn how to look after themselves better.

All of us are in some kind of arena in our lives. Whether it’s the arena of work, business, parenting, relationships, marriage, friendships, neighbourhood, church, community, we all have areas where we need to show up.

All of us are in some kind of arena in our lives. Whether it’s the arena of work, business, parenting, relationships, marriage, friendships, neighbourhood, church, community, we all have areas where we need to show up.

Arenas in our lives are not just the roles we play, we may step into the arena when we have a hard conversation, have to fire someone, ask someone to help, say “I love you” first. Whatever it is, we all have the opportunity to show up and be seen.

The problem is that whenever we go into the arena, there are no guarantees that we will succeed, that the conversation will go well, or whatever it is. That’s why I resonate with this quote from Brené Brown. She says:

“There are no guarantees in the arena. We will struggle. We will even fail. There will be darkness. But if we are clear about the values that guide us in our efforts to show up and be seen, we will always be able to find the light. We will know what it means to live brave.”

Brené Brown

Brené talks about how values help to light the way for us. When we are clear on what is most important to us and who we want to be, then we have more direction in our lives and we can be confident in the decisions we need to make.

The Journeez Values workshop covers:

  • What values are
  • Discovering of your own values (time set aside to sit and work on this)
  • How values help to shape our lives and why it’s important to have clarity of values

If you want to set some time aside for you, your team or group to begin working on what your values are, then this is the workshop for you. Most people have done values work before, but they walk away and forget them. In this workshop we will talk about how to make them more front and centre in your life.

If this sounds like something your team, workplace, ministry or community group might be interested in doing, please complete the speaking request form and we will get back to you about your specific situation.

Take Care on the Journey.
