Mental Health Week – Talk
Contrary to what some people say, Mental Illness is nothing to be ashamed of. Yes, you may feel ashamed and acknowledging that in itself is a good place to start.
Talking about your experience is vital to moving forward. If you feel shame about your experience of mental illness, then talking about it will diminish the power that shame has over you. You may even be surprised at the stories others will tell you about their experience.
1 in 5 people experience or will experience mental illness in their life. You are not alone. Choose someone you trust and share your story.
Do you want to have a meaningful human experience? Talk about it and make the choice to be vulnerable.
Vulnerability is the core, the heart, the center, of meaningful human experience. ~ Brene Brown ~
