Clinical Counselling Supervision

Clinical Counselling Supervision for Counsellors to reflect, develop and refine your work with clients

Clinical Supervision is for Counsellors to reflect, develop and refine their work with clients.

As a Clinical Supervisor, it is a privilege to journey with Counsellors. I provide a safe, non-judgemental, authentic and curious space for you to process client sessions and topics that have left you feeling a little ‘off kilter’.

My counselling experience is in Private Practice working with women around areas such as burnout, stress management, relationships, grief & loss, anxiety and life transitions.

I have also worked for nearly 10 years in school environments as a Chaplain and have a very good understanding of school systems and the unique challenges that come with that arena.

What can I expect in a Clinical Supervision session?

In Clinical Supervision, I will spend time getting to know you and specifically your work setting. My supervision approach is person-centred and collaborative to support you in your practice as a Counsellor.

Professional discussions in supervision may include topics such as how to approach scenarios, how to navigate leading teams and challenging relationships, processing career aspirations, boundary setting and professional practices, self-care and your general wellbeing. We will discuss your ways of practicing including modalities and theories used, ethical and legal practices, professional development opportunities and the types of clients you see.

New/Graduate Counsellors

I am particularly passionate about working with new counsellors in your first few years of practice. In the first few years there is a lot of ‘on the job learning’ whether you’re in an agency, school or working in private practice there are various questions that come to light. The first few years can be a big learning curve in the counselling industry but also how you process all the different things you hear as well as the practical elements of being a counsellor.

I enjoy providing a safe place for counsellors where there are no silly questions and empower you to set up good professional practices around boundaries, self-care, note taking and administration.

Anna has been an incredible supervisor to me and was fantastic to have as I newly ventured into the Counselling field. Anna has an incredible ability to observe and draw to attention aspects of where we might need to be challenged in how we practice being a counsellor, whilst also delivering it in such a way I felt encouraged and inspired to improve.
