Self Care Tip – Reconnect with Someone
A couple weeks ago, I was reading something that got me thinking about how disconnected our world is. You’ve heard it said before ‘we are the most technically connected we’ve ever been and at the same time we’re the most disconnected with those around us.’
“I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face.”
This quote came to me several times within the space of a week. I’m pretty sure there’s a message in there for me. It’s time I stop always using text message, Facebook and email to communicate with those I value most. I endeavour to make more time to see people face to face. Seeing people face to face is good for the soul. It’s vulnerable; courageous; awkward at times; gracious; it’s connecting. There is no where to hide.
Having authentic relationships is important to me. Is it important to you? If so, I invite you to reconnect with someone this week who you haven’t seen in a while. Make a time to catch up and connect – really connect. Doing this is one way of valuing yourself and those around you. It’s a good way to implement Self Care into your life. Authenticity and Courage help you to Live Life to the Fullest.
I did this a week or so ago – it was good for my soul, I hope you find that it’s good for your soul.
