Self Care Tip of the Week #16 – Tick something off your bucket list
This week is about doing something you’ve always wanted to do. Do you have a bucket list? Self care tip #3 was Make a Bucket List. If you didn’t already have one, did you make one? A bucket list is a list of things you would love to do in your life before you die. There is a movie called The Bucket List which is where this concept is inspired from.
So this week it’s about ticking something off. It could be something small, like going for a walk on the beach at sunset, or it could be take the train into the city on a day off – especially if you always drive to work. Or it may be something bigger. The bigger ones will potentially need some planning, so if that’s the case, maybe you could put some plans in place to tick that big thing off your bucket list.
I decided to choose this self care tip this week, as I will be doing just that – ticking something off my bucket list. I have always wanted to be in a studio audience and this week I am going to do that.
What will you tick off your list this week? Or, maybe you can make your list if you haven’t yet. This is good to do because it helps you practice the art of valuing yourself. You are important enough to put yourself first and write a list of things you would love to do. Once they’re written down in ink, the next step is making them happen. Take the Journey!

#9 – Celebrate an achievement or success – Something that is a big deal for you. The art of celebrating when you’ve achieved something – big or small – is really important to learning to value who you are.
#10 – Keep a Journal. Something happens in our brain when we put pen to paper – or it might be fingers to keyboard. Our brain needs creative stimulation and writing with a nice pen or coloured textas can be an incredible process.
