Boundaries and Self Care
So coming up on 15th June is my next workshop and this one is called “Boundaries”. It’s about setting and implementing boundaries with the people in your life.
I know! I Know! The boundaries word is a little taboo and let’s face it, not the most comfortable of subjects in life. I know that and I know the hard work it takes to implement boundaries in your life. I also know that it has changed my life!
FREEDOM. PEACE. CLARITY. HOPE.
COURAGE. DIRECTION.
These are characteristics I have learned, discovered and now live with in my life… almost… everyday.
I keep getting this question in my mind:
“Why would people want to go to a workshop on boundaries?”
Because if you want to live your life to the fullest everyday, then this is one way you will begin to achieve that.
Some people see living life to the fullest as making sure they tick everything off their bucket list as soon as possible, or taking every opportunity that arises because it’s a great opportunity, even if it’s not right for the person or their family… For me, living life to the fullest is about being the most me I can be and the most authentic in my relationships and work that I can be. I want to live a free life where I know that what I’m doing is for a purpose and because it aligns with my values.
I want to live my life doing what’s best for me and for those around me in the most balanced way possible (obviously I’ll never totally get there, but I’m on my way). Setting and implementing boundaries in my life gives me the freedom, peace, clarity, hope, courage and direction to be me, and in turn gives freedom, peace, clarity, hope, courage and direction to those in my life.
“Saying no, honours yourself first and in turn honours others. – Lee Horbachewski –
So I encourage you to ask yourself – “why would I go to a workshop on boundaries?”
